BALYAT Marine provides independent yacht and small-craft surveying services led by Capt. Oğuz Atik, holder of the The International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS) Professional Qualification in Yacht & Small Craft Marine Surveying. Based in İzmir and serving clients throughout the Aegean region, we help yacht owners and prospective buyers understand a vessel’s condition through methodical inspections, objective findings and clear, practical reports.
In addition to marine surveying, BALYAT Marine provides yacht and boat delivery, onboard owner training and independent maritime consultancy.

Maritime Experience Applied with Care
BALYAT Marine was founded by Capt. Oğuz Atik to provide yacht owners and buyers with independent, practical and professionally presented maritime services. His background combines approximately seven years of commercial seagoing experience, including service, with more than twenty years of maritime education, academic work and professional training at Dokuz Eylül University Maritime Faculty as Associate Professor.
Alongside marine surveying, BALYAT Marine provides yacht and boat delivery, practical onboard training for existing and prospective owners, and consultancy relating to vessel purchase, documentation, operation, maintenance and refit. Every assignment is approached with objectivity, professional integrity, practical seamanship and close attention to detail.
